ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Helene Lowenfels Meyers is a self-taught graphic designer. Having grown up in New York City in the 1980s, from a very young age the arts and culture were synonymous with her happiest times. The Metropolitan Museum of Art served as her personal playground. She loved to see the colors of Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass, and experience the simplicity and minimalism of the Astor Chinese Garden Court. Sketchbook upon sketchbook became filled with an exploration of illustrations, designs, shapes, and colors. This early exposure to the arts truly shaped the future direction of her life.
Helene continued to pursue her artistic passions throughout her schooling. She graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University with a Bachelor's degree in Art History and a minor in Studio Art and worked in the New York City art world for over 10 years in every capacity, at museums, galleries, and auction houses. In 2010 Helene started her own art tour company, NYC Art Tours, where she leads adults and children on customized tours of the city's finest venues. Each position that she held professionally required some element of graphic design and attention to detail and beauty - whether it be designing and creating catalogs and client show sheets, taking digital photos and editing them in Photoshop, designing email campaigns, it ran the gamut. For over 5 years Helene served as the Communications Director at a private school in New York City where she designed all e-campaigns to the school community, as well as designed and created all school publications in house. These included an annual report, calendar, magazine, directory and development materials.
Helene's preferred aesthetic is one of clean, mid-century modern minimalism - with pops of hot pink! That being said, she aims to please and can design anything to suit her client's needs.
Helene looks forward to helping you convey your message through sleek and sophisticated design.
